Although Darren Sharper has been charged with drugging and raping two women, the NFL and its obnoxious community continue to show their ignorance.

This disgusting individual gets an adrenaline rush out of raping unconscious women - clearly unable to consent, and many are still discussing how Michael Sam's coming out as gay will effect his NFL team in the future.

If you are unfamiliar with the story and you are an NFL fanatic, this post further solidifies my point.

Darren Sharper was accused of giving alcohol mixed with some type of drug to knock his victims out, so he could have his way with them. When giving an account of the assault, one of the victims mentioned that she woke up hours later, naked with Sharper sexually assaulting her. If convicted, he faces up to 30 years in prison.

I think Jon Stewart explained it eloquently enough; NFL players have been in the headlines for numerous things that are far more worse, though, despite this, they instantly get a pass. However, when it comes to a young gay athlete people are quick to turn their backs and call it a distraction - an embarrassing ordeal for the NFL.

The only distraction here is that these boys seem to be spending more time acting a damn fool, than practicing to be nothing but the best at their sport. Oh, wait - then again, being basic and privileged is all it takes to be considered "the bomb" these days.

Ugh.
