Family friend, Jefferey Hubbard, was convicted on five counts for killing Usher’s stepson, 11-year-old Kile Glover while jet skiing in Lake Lanier, Georgia.

Jeffrey Hubbard was convicted of homicide by a vessel, injury by vessel, reckless operation, unlawful operation of personal watercraft, and a boat traffic violation.

This news comes as a shock to many because the death of Kile Glover initially appeared to be an accident when first reported back in July of 2012. While vacationing with Kile and his father TV executive Ryan Glover, Hubbard accidentally hit Kile with his jet ski, instantly giving the 11-year old child severe brain injuries which he was unable to recover from.

Some people are even comparing Jeffrey Hubbard who committed an "accident" to George Zimmerman who was released despite intentionally killing teenager, Trayvon Martin.

It's true: In both instances a child’s life was taken away during an innocent outing , but in this case, another life will also be destroyed because of an "accident" that was really never meant to be.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Even Tameka Foster, the mother of Kyle Glover and ex-wife of Usher, understands her son's death was unintentional: "At the end of the day, I know he didn't do it on purpose."
